Even Mr. and Mrs. Fitzpepper, schoolmaster and librarian, attend the Critter Ball.
Mr. Fitzpepper is a stern one, but his wife is as gentle as they come. The schoolkits love to duck out of class to visit the library where she generously helps them with their homework.
Sometimes she will offer them tea and cookies, although she’s not supposed to have those items in the library. No one has ever tattled on her, of course.
